This policy explains how the office of Advocate Akash R. Chikate (“we”) handles personal data collected through this website, in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
What we collect
- Enquiry forms: your name, phone number, email address, the type of matter and any message you choose to write.
- Guide download forms: your name, phone number and email address.
- Calls and WhatsApp: your number and whatever you choose to tell us.
- Usage data: Google Analytics records pages visited, device and approximate location, and which contact buttons are used. It does not record the contents of forms.
Please share only what is needed for us to understand your matter. Do not send documents through the website forms.
Why we use it
Only to respond to your enquiry, send the guide you requested, and understand which pages help visitors. We do not sell or rent personal data and do not use it for unrelated marketing.
Who can see it
The advocate and office staff. Service providers that host the website, deliver email and provide analytics (including Google) process data on our behalf.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to an engagement are deleted within 12 months. If you engage us, records are kept as required for the matter and by law.
Your rights
You may ask to see, correct or delete your personal data, or withdraw consent, by writing to [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days. You may also approach the Data Protection Board of India.
Confidentiality
Enquiries are treated as confidential. Submitting a form or message does not by itself create an advocate–client relationship.
