Wakad is outside Pune City Police limits. Wakad Police Station belongs to the Pimpri-Chinchwad Police Commissionerate and is part of its Zone II, together with Hinjewadi, Bavdhan, Ravet and Kalewadi police stations. Areas towards Pimple Saudagar and Pimple Gurav fall under Sangvi Police Station in Zone I. Cyber complaints are handled by the Pimpri-Chinchwad Cyber Police Station.
